Crossed Another Big Bee Block Quilt

Welcome back ladies. Its my time again and I am so excited about this one. This quilt design was inspired by a very adorable mini I was gifted when I took part in the #aussiechristmasswap and I was so lucky to be paired with Sam @fortheloveoffabric and with a little incorrect address drama (entirely my fault) I finally got my gifted pressies which included a C&S crossed mini that was beautifully matchstitch quilted.

It is devine, it has caused some heartbreak and really touched me because it had stirred some emotion. Anyway it all happened when I wanted to prepare for the February 2016 Do good stitches Quilt.

I used it to inspire this design then I just played, and this is what has come about.

I know my quilts are mostly low volume and blue or teal but I hope you don't mind making this block ladies.

I love the seemingly messiness to this quilt but with the yellow accents I love how the position of the blocks will bunch the yellow crosses together I utterly love the hashtag when those four crosses meet.

With the Quilt Blocks finishing at 18" x 12 Blocks it should finish at 56" x 76" a great Single bed or lounge throw.

a few as we go pics to finish this quilt off.

all blocks received and even one extra which will be made into a pillow and go off with the quilt. Thank you Cherish Circle!!

#quiltedbythequiltmachine with my longarm using the digital design champagne bubbles

and machine bound with a lovely 3" binding. just for something different. All done and ready to go to our charity.

PS

When creating this pattern I was also created a mini version for my 3yo niece. I have been a fan of orange and blue for a few years now those complementary colours somehow sing to me.

I really can't wait to make this one with you guys. I think i will be suitable for so many different people for my chosen charity.
